The Trust is running Institutions from Pre-Primary, Primary School (Kannada and English Medium) High School (Kannada and English Medium), Pre-University College (Science, Arts and Commerce), Degree College (B.A.) and Polytechnic (Civil, Mechanical and Electronics and Communications)

Apart from Educational Institutions the Trust is also running 2 (Two) Destitute Hostels for 50 Destitute Children and an Old-Age Home for 25 Destitute old.

Vidyananda Gurukula Education Trust established in the year 1922 by the Gandhian, Freedom fighter and Educationist Sri Raghavendrarao Desai is serving for the cause of Education and Social service since 95 years. The endeavor of this Institution has been to impart best physical, intellectual and moral education to its students to make them torch bearers of our ancient values while blending with scientific temper to keep pace with the fast changing world. The Trust is functioning in the most rural, backward and draught prone area of old Hyderabad State of Karnataka. The students studying in our Institution belongs to sons of Farmers, backward class and minority and SC/ST. We are not collecting any donation from the students. To provide infrastructure facilities and to adopt modern teaching methods to the poor students assistance is sought from your esteemed organization. At present about 2000 students are studying in the Institution campus of 28 Acres of land in one contiguous area comprising of various buildings and Horticulture farm and other plantations.

DESTITUTE HOSTEL

To provide relief to poor and destitute children in this region the Trust runs two (2) Destitute Hostels for 50 destitute children. The inmates are enjoying free accommodation, food and other basic amenities. Appreciating the activities and achievement of the Trust the Government of Karnataka gave a cash award of Rs. 25,000/- and a citation. Recognizing the exemplary service rendered in the field of "INTEGRATED CHILD DEVELOPMENT" the Government of India bestowed the National Award of Rs. 2,00,000/- along with a citation during the year 1993 by his Excellency the President of India.

OLD AGE HOME

Old Age Home was started for poor and destitute elderly persons during 1995. There are 25 inmates who are provided food, shelter, medical facility along with other basic necessities. The Government Karnataka is providing 90% maintenance grant for this activity.

The Project proposals and plans have been prepared by the Trust for development of education and community service to enable the students of this backward area and community to avail the benefit of these projects.

During the year 2015-16 Commerce course was introduced in the Pre-University section and new class rooms have been constructed. There was no independent building for the High School (Kannada medium) and the new building estimating Rs: 1.00 Crore is under construction which will be completed before commencement of the next academic year. We need desks for the above newly constructed class rooms. The Degree College run by our Trust is Un-aided and we are not getting any assistance from the Government. We need Library Books and Computers for Degree College.

All the above details are narrated with a view to emphasize that sanctioning of this project will go a long way in providing basic infrastructure facilities to the students of this backward area. We will be highly obliged for sanction of the project..
